The scanner is located
in a private, controlled access area. The scanner hardware is
enclosed within a superstructure of either wood or fabric.
Complete darkness within
the scan chamber ensures consistency of the scanned images.
The scanner calibration
is checked weekly. The scanner generally maintains its calibration
for a long period of time.
Patients enter the
scan chamber and are generally scanned in the nude, though casual
scans can be taken in undergarments. Various sizes of "Scan
Wear" are also provided. The scan wear is similar to underwear
or a sports bra. Hair should be tied up above the neck, and jewelry
should be removed.
